New England Oaks Lacrosse will Field a Travel Box Team in the 24/25 Winter Season. Please find information on the Program and Coaches below and submit your info to stay aware as tryout dates and sites are announced.
Practices will be at Allsport Arena beginning in December and running through early February. (8 Sessions minimum)
The team will compete in the following three tournaments:
-Pioneer Valley Invitational Sunday 1/12 Allsport Arena Northampton, MA
-Galactic Games Saturday &/or Sunday 1/18-19, Seacoast United Arena, Hampton, NH
-Cabin Fever Classic Sunday 2/9 Allsport Arena Northampton, MA
Additional Play Days will be added as they become available, last year we played two with 3dNE South and Albany Power.
While a great cross training for Field Lacrosse, we believe and train in the value of Box in it’s own right.
Coach Joe O’Neill
Coach O’Neill has been coaching box lacrosse for 12 years and brings a wealth of experience from his expertise in Field Lacrosse and Physiology. He has coached in numerous Box leagues, most recently leading the Paper City Oaks of the NABLL to the 2023 New England Region Championship as Head Coach. He is a long time proponent of the game and an ongoing student and fan of it. In Field Lacrosse, he is a two time PVIAC Coach of the Year and lead Wahconah Regional to the 2022 Division IV State Championship.
Coach Trevar Haefele
Coach Haefele has an extensive coaching resume including stints at Division I Binghamton University as well as most recently NESCAC Schools Bates and Bowdoin. His Bowdoin Offense was ranked 7th in the Nation in 2022 and he has coached 20 All-Americans in his 8 year tenure. On the playing side, he has earned his Box stripes with the Maine Northmen who were NABLL New England Champs in 2022 and National Champs in 2019. He played college Field Lacrosse at Nazareth College amassing over 100 points in his career. Coach Haefele is currently the Head Boys Varsity Coach at the Northfield Mount Hermon School.
Coach Charlie Edwards
Coach Edwards has been coaching box lacrosse for 10 years and founded the Oaks Lacrosse Program and serves as General Manager of the Paper City Oaks Junior and Senior Teams. He has seen 8 former players named to the American World Junior Indoor Roster and 2 to the Israeli World Junior Indoor Roster. He Coaches Field Lacrosse at Northampton High School.
Coach Eric Padelford
Coach Padelford has been coaching box lacrosse for 13 years and founded the Tech Valley Lacrosse Program in the Capital Region of New York. Tech Valley has placed numerous players in the Junior Ranks of the highest level of the sport in Canada. His sons Caden (Siena) and Rylan (Sacred Heart) are both Division I Field Lacrosse Players with bonfide Box Accolades and his son Sawyer is a Freshman at the Williston Northampton School with similar experience around the country and North of the Border.
